Is it fair to say that we should rename our teams

    WA/South African School Boys?

    RugbyWA/ARU

Despite a convincing 22-6 win over Tasmania on match day three at the Division II Schoolboys Championships, WA has missed out on a spot in the final.

WA's loss to the Northern Territory on match day one proved decisive, as the boys from the top end finished first in Pool A, and will face Victoria in the Final.

Western Australia 22 (Dane Haylett-Petty, Matt Lovelady, Matt Di Marco, Sam Hienamenn tries; Matt Di Marco conversion)
    defeated
Tasmania 6 (Wally Dare 2 penalties)

    Final standings

    POOL A

    Western Australia 6
    Lloyd McDermott Development 1

Missed a bit here however, Victoria defeated Northern Territory in the Final 32-19 to take the Charles Blunt Trophy.
A disapointing result for Western Australia overall however, full marks to the NT for getting over us to knock us out of the running and I would suggest the Force may want to send a Scout up to Casuarina Senior College to have a look at a few of their players!
WA exacted a little revenge on poor old South Australia on the final day (36-7) though I'm sure all concerned would have been watching the following Final ruing an opportunity missed.
Congratulations to the following young men for making the Combined States Squad and all at TWF wish you a successful time of it at St Ignatius:
    Dan Copson, John XXIII WA
Kyle Del Frate, Joondalup Baptist College WA
    Dane Haylett-Petty, Hale School WA
    Angus Neilson, Challenger College WA
    Steve Salvarinov, Hale School WA
Darryn Van Wyk, Peter Moyes Anglican College WA
