    Brumbies hit 6000 members

The Brumbies have welcomed aboard Patrick Robertson as their 6000th member for 2012. Mr Robertson received a pleasant surprise on Monday when Stephen Moore and Ben Alexander visited the retiree at his Rivett home.

A great supporter of the club, Mr Robertson has been a member for 10 years and enjoyed the chance to spend time with two of his most-admired Brumbies.

Moore and Alexander presented Mr Robertson with a signed training jersey and a 2012 Brumbies polo shirt. Alexander was pleased to welcome Mr Robertson and thanked him for his continued support.

“It’s very exciting that we are already at the 6000 member mark with more than three months until we start the season,” Alexander said.

“I know the boys are very eager to run out onto Canberra Stadium next year in front of a huge Brumbies crowd. We’re shooting for 10,000 members in 2012 and at this stage that figure looks more than likely to tumble.

“It’s vitally important that we have strong community support to keep the team going. We are their team and we are committed to playing and training with everything we’ve got week in, week out.

“2012 is a fresh start and a new beginning. It’s time we repaid the Brumbies faithful with a full season of spirited performances.

“We all know how lucky we are to have 6000 strong supporters, just like Patrick, and we would like to encourage anyone out there thinking about becoming a member to take the step. There’s a great feeling at the club and we want everyone in Canberra to feel a part of it too.”

With huge savings on offer thanks to the early bird ticket prices, be sure to get your seats this week with the offer ending on Friday 18 November.

Full details of membership packages are available online at http://brumbies.com.au/Membership/PackageOverview.aspx.

What a great idea - having the boys turn up at the doorstep. Force should do something similar

Hope they don't send any props. Especially Ma'afu. I'll have to fit the fridges with padlocks.

Great idea to have the Brumbies/Wallabies front row deliver his guys membership.

good to get the players involved with members makes a good story, and sales I'm sure..

Nice advice, smart take up for the young boys to see, Jake well done for your positive leadership... He is asking a lot of his players this preseason...
