Nathan Sharpe's last game will be for the Force

THE most-capped Wallabies second-rower of all time, Nathan Sharpe, will retire from all rugby at the end of the Western Force's Super Rugby campaign this year.

Sharpe, who turns 34 this month, told The Australian yesterday he had no intention of seeking a contract in Europe or Japan and instead would devote himself to spending more time with his two children and to a new career in the mining industry.

"My last game will be for the Force, whether that might be the last fixture match on July 14 (against the Crusaders in Christ-church) or post-that, hopefully in the Super Rugby final on August 4," Sharpe said....

Hang on, Rex didn't you say Wykesey was a useless waste of space last year?

Now he's a suitable replacement for Sharpie? That just doesn't add up!

Thank you for the memories big guy.

It is with great thanks and a sore heart that we wish you all the best in your future endevours.

We cannot thank you enough for bringing Super rugby to WA and the outstanding committment you showed week and week out since 2006.

Without you we would not have been able to attract the players we did, so that we could be competitive.

    Thank you

Dynamite is being phased out as being too environmentally unfriendly, so Sharpie will just tackle the rock-face into submission!
