Cheka is NSWRU royalty, Blake is a mungo......Growden wouldn't let that one through to the keeper with his circulation.

I'm with Rex (or whichever of his personalities said it) give Phil a shot, make his results the job interview....if he can turn this season around and string some consistent performances together he deserves next year, if he gets us to the finals like he says he can, he deserves 2014. It's time to build the memberships back up and the only way that will happen is results on the field.

If, however he can't back up his mouth...show him the door!

Well Said Gigs - There are a number of coaches out there but it all boils down to how much dosh the board is willing to spend - Nick Mallet is interested, Mike Checka??? from Stade France and I have heard a rumor that the front runner is Rob Penney, the current NZ U20s coach. No doubt cheap as well as someone who would keep the local NZ expat community happy.....

not likely, if the local bogans can't watch the Chiefs/Canes/Blues/Landers beat us and get pi$$ed, they'll stay away by the thousands.

Would be great - however from a marketing point of view a super coach with credentials lends itself to two things:

    1. attracts star players that want to be coached by that super coach

    2. helps in securing the sponsorship $$$$ to pay for those marque players.
