why are you so unkind?
For those that haven't been on a tour yet, I hope you get to experience one soon. Big Ox took me on my first tour about 3 years ago now and I can honestly say I’m hooked! Fantastic people, rugby, drinks and travel.... what more could you ask for?
The vague memories that I have of the innFORCERs tours which I have been on include the following:
- Canberra:
My first tour and probably one of the messiest I have been on, mostly due to the win over the brumbies and Shep's try fest. However I can’t forget the pre/post game drinks, guard of honour for the boys as the got off the bus at the hotel, the jagerbom/vodka concoctions Mrs Jargs created in the hotel room and the enormous hangover I had the next day.
- Brisbane:
Somehow getting into the captains run at suncorp, and sitting in genuine "Louis Vuitton" ponchos in the rain (Thanks Elf).
- Melbourne (Volcano Tour):
Yes, I realise I am a Victard (Jargs, that’s for you) and didn’t have to travel but, the first InnFORCERs tour over here was amazing. From attending the Captains runs, the pregame drinks and walk to the stadium, to sitting in the rebel army whilst wearing my force jersey, not to mention the post-game drinking marathon at Turf bar. It was a memorable tour, capped off with a great win by the boys.
- Melbourne (This year):
A Thursday night pub crawl, Friday pre/post game drinks and once again taking over Turf Bar. Loved every minute!
- Christchurch (In a month or so):
Can’t wait for this tour; especially to support Sharpie in his last game. Just have to hope that the snow stays away that weekend.
