Not sure if I would still class him as a "major signing", though am more than happy to have him. Hopefully he proves to be another Samo type of signing.

good news but i like this statement more: "Deans said he thought Pocock, sidelined for two months following knee surgery, would return on the four-Test tour although added he would not regain the captaincy from senior lock Nathan Sharpe.

Although Sharpe was Australia's fourth-choice skipper this season, Deans confirmed the 34-year-old second-rower would keep the captaincy following his inspirational leadership in the past four Tests.

"Sharpie has been fantastic as a leader," Deans told reporters.

"He's brought a lot of composure to the group and brought us back on task for what is important at any given moment.

"He's also developing the people around him."

Well well Robbie, what a difference a year makes.

A career that a year ago you were trying to end has possibly now helped save yours!

You know a lesser man would have told Robbie Deans to stick it. Fortunately for Robbie Deans - Nathan Sharpe is far from a Lesser man.

Sharpie should have been named Captain when Stirling Mortlock Retired.

I will NEVER forgive Plonker Deans for not giving Sharpie the jersey for the semi-finals in the RWC!!!
