Agree Zim, Palu played like missed being out there. Which was great. His best game in 12 months IMO.

TPN tried hard. But at the end of the day is baggage no matter how hard he goes.

Cummins was unlucky not to get to at least the 10 from that hospital pass.

Kiwis played their worst game in 3 years. I was happy with the draw (if not pissed we didn't go for the drop goal) and with the reaction of the surrounding kiwis at the game.

Great that I still haven't seen the wallabies lose!

as far as i am concerned if you cant cop it, don't give it out. this "another cheap shot" and "he's not being looked after" is a f**king joke. if he's that soft he cant cop a tiny bit of what he gives out he shouldn't bother playing again after his 6 months off.

this incident is not in the same class as sharpe's "attack" on mcaw.
if you want to see an unprovoked attack. look back to etzebthe's headbutt on sharpie. that was a case of a young arrogant dickkead thinking he is better than the best lock in the world.
    Cheap shot..

    Higginbotham vs McCaw

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKxVj8LXdE4"]Scott Higginbotham cited twice for knee and head-butt on Richie McCaw - YouTube[/ame]

Obviously deliberate hits on mccaw, but also obviously designed to niggle and not hurt/injure - they were pretty lightweight. Given the judiciaries views on headbuts, pretty stupid move if he had hopes of playing all spring tour games...

He hardly kneed him, basically "walked through" him.
When I watched it in real time on the night I thought Higgers jumped in to get between MacCaw and Hooper as MacCaw was giving Hooper a bit of a seeing to. I'm still not convinced that wasn't the case. Would be good to have access to another angle.
I don't condone head butts, especially deliberate, but I can see why/how it happened.

Until the Wallabies consistently kick for the corners instead of the goals we will have to put up with the occassional draw or win against the #1 team in the world. Several times in this match we needed to keep them under pressure, but elected for the shot and a restart back on our tryline.

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

Another great performance of leadership by Sharpie. With Sharpie leading the NH tour I think we may do some good things and we may surprise people. What I am seeing now is where we are at without Sharpie - look to the future - Horwill, JOC, QC, Genia, Ioane. Look at who is playing at the moment- as stated by Dingo Deans " Sharpie is moulding, building and challenging this current team to perform". My fear is when the Gen Y's reappear we will go back to the big egos and individual play, I don't think we have a serious leader amongst the group. Say what you like but all of the people mentioned above ( except for sharpie ) have demonstrated their own agenda - not the type of leadership we require to lead us into the future.
As for cheap shot SHB - Deans should give him and extra couple of weeks for ill disciple. Throw a punch by all means but knees and headbutts are not negotiable.

InnForcer, my mistake for leaving Pocock out but I have unfortunately not met the man and therefore only go on what I see. He has also not demonstrated copious amounts of leadership and if he isn't captaining a side ( brumbies) how does he mature into the leader we require. Sharpie did the right thing by giving him the captaincy and mentoring him but did he bring anything special to the table ? To expand on that over the last couple of seasons since Sharpie was classed as excess baggage by the ARU we have gone up and down ( no consistency). Move forward to current day and since Sharpie has been leading , and we have very few prima donnas in the side we are building basic consistency and belief in the GOLD jumper and that every team in rugby - north or south of the equator is beatable.

Great, great player, but I just don't see him as a great leader. Too 'nice'. And if his pressers are anything to go by, not much of a motivational or inspirational speaker either.

Now, time for me to sit back and enjoy my first smiting

i think that he will develop into a leader. we saw it as the force's season progressed.
experience makes people better. so i dunno how he will go if he doesnt captain the ponies.

that isnt what most people were saying two games ago... and two games (one win and one draw) are hardly going to help deliver "basic consistency"
What they have shown is that the world is not ending and that we actually do have significant depth to draw from for the wallabies. The Northern tour will make or break this team i think...
