    The end....
    As above.

My vision is more of TWF jersey based on WA state colours, in the Perth spirit style, not just a replica PS jersey.

Those in the know will know.

Black and pink? oh, tailored to fit a different sort of shape, so to speak.

The traditionalist past State (yes, only Juniors) player in me is a little conflicted in my opinion of this one. Would probably get one if it goes ahead but not sure if I'm comfortable about it.

We all have had thoughts of being a cheerleader at one time or another, Burgs. You should NOT be uncomfortable about this. Pom poms and all.

I donated my Spirit jumper to my local sports bar...

And I still have my JB-TWF supporters at home... was wearing it last week at work... seems to be a little tight these days

Have wanted to give this considered thought before answering Alison as it is often hard to put a feeling into words. Even so, I'm sure many reading will think it sentimental crap, but so be it.

I'll preface it to say that the Perth Spirit jersey is a replica of our State jersey anyway.

I'd also say what I am writing here is in no way a brag as I know my experience is a very long time ago and at the lowest level of representative duties for our code.

Many millennia ago I was chosen to Captain the WAJRU U/14's that were the first to tour to South Australia. Despite recovering from a dislocated kneecap from the first day of the Tour at training I proudly lead the boys out to smack SA 33-0. In recent times I wonder what would happen to the Tour officials of today if they let an underage player play on something so recently injured, but that is another story...

Anyway, that is probably the highlight of my individual playing career. At PSA I enjoyed success with my school and had enormous pride in playing and Captaining 1st XV, but it didn't match the chest bursting experience of being a quiet kid from the bush leading his State into "battle".
Much of that pride was in wearing basically the same jersey as the U/16's and WA XV.

So, why the comfort levels... I think it mainly comes from being a State that has paid for that jersey in blood and sweat for many years against far tougher opposition it should be held in respect. Some would paraphrase that replication is the highest form of flattery. That said, you don't see Australian Cricket fans wearing Baggy Green caps and to my knowledge you can't get replica Olympic competition attire. These are things that are earned by the individual and I believe deserve to be kept somewhat unique to those who attain that particular representative honour.

OK if it makes Burgs feel any better we'll call it a replica Taranki jumper
