    Fan feedback on new stadium

The State Government is calling for nominations for a sports fans' group that will provide feedback on design elements of the new Perth stadium.

The 30 member group will brief the Government on the effect proposed elements of the venue will have on the "fan experience".

Premier Colin Barnett said the stadium would be built with a fan-first philosophy.

"Close consultation with sports fans will be crucial to delivering on that commitment and producing a world-class sporting facility for all West Australians," he said.

Passionate fans of football, cricket, rugby league, rugby union and soccer are encouraged to apply.

Planning is continuing for the venue, with three companies shortlisted for pre-construction works.

It's the most soccer I've ever watched-just to catch a glimpse of the stand. It's a girlie game.I don't know how males can like it.The only way I can stand looking at it is because I want the Glory to win.

That's not actually true if you read the history and not just the mythology.

If that's a serious request, it's not hard to find one. Even mr Google lists a good'un top.

For a more detailed one of the modern game, Huw Richards' "A Game For Hooligans" is a pretty good read.

........and even the myth itself has pretty dodgy foundations.

Just a thought why have the Government called in fans groups after the stadium is near completion to get feed back surely this would have been better called for at the start of the process.

I can't remember who it was but someone on this forum said about the lights at the NIB being very poor and not like the lights at other stadiums in world rugby just a little thing that could have been put right and debated before the building commenced

Happy and myself had a drive by yesterday, plenty of workers about but it does seem they will be cutting it fine for an on time completion, which is very unlike BGC
