Yeah. Foley's selections on Friday alluded to the fact that reputations mean nothing, but I have had seven years with the Force and probably Ten with the Wallabies where that has meant precisely nothing. I'll remain cynical for a little while.

I was mortified at the selection at first, I was one eyed for a win over the Rabble. but after a little (not so) quiet reflection, I am happy. He (as you pointed out) is ignoring whether you think you 'deserve' a 15 spot, and has asked his players to (foley key word) Earn their spot. It might see us lump up a few losses here or there, but I think itll also weed out any players not dedicated to the cause/team or hungry enough to go 110% at it.
Hopefully the trend continues, along with a similar trend in contracting. Let's not forget, he will still have some players who he isn't keen on, but didn't want to pay out.

Agree. JOC wasnt the best kicker at the beginning either but spending some time with that specialist saffa kicker improved the Brand heaps. Maybe hire the same guy to work his magic with godwin?

kyle is a good kicker , just that playing super rugby at 12 when your 19 is a pretty full plate . he is a hard working kid and a good learner he will come godo if the coach keeps the faith
otherwise fire up sias to kick them all at 10 and bring on sam later in the match to light up a few tries
heard that panasonic is in the japan final against suntory . SNK plays for Panasonic i think ( coach is tony brown ) , maybe he is good touch !! explains the delay in him joining the force
