I'm not sure if hansie drank the bar dry or not, but the ladies in the ladies day tent at wests Scarborough sure were giving it a crack!! Was a good game to watch, pity about the weather

I watched the Wests vs Nedlands game after watching my little brothers play against Uni. It was one of the best defensive displays I have seen in a long time! Even after the heavens opened up and made the ball like a bar of soap, both teams defended like it was finals footy! Once Nedlands hit the lead the just kept wests pinned down in their 22 with some clever tactical kicking. Both teams will be in the top 4 i reckon, along with Associates and Palmyra. Nedlands 10/12 combo gets them over the gain line almost every time, two big boys who can both carry or play the ball depending on the situation. Was surprised both teams kept their cool towards the end when the pressure had built up, in the past some of those players would have snapped and cost their team the game. Referee did a good job controlling the game, all in all a pleasure to watch whilst getting soaked by the rain

Sounds good - looks as if the Paly V Cott game next week will be a real test of who is a real contender and who is a pretender.
