Nathan seemed OK in the hotel bar afterwards - sitting with his parents and joking with Stander and his folks. Maybe something came to light after the adrenaline wore off. It was Nathan's boot which caught Bennie Mac's face - that might be the source of some folk thinking an injury.

Pub count is looking a bit more respectable; 27 I think. The food is awesome too - no wonder South Africa is the land of the meat eaters; I'm in danger of becoming renamed 'wobble' and PintofWhisky wil be renamed keg.

There is a great restaurant just next to the back entrance of the Mount Nelson Hotel! Next door to cafe Sofia! It's a must!
Their Hunters plate, I think it's called is awesome. Kudu, wild pig, croc and Buf, I think and not a veg in sight.

There's a couple of good pubs close to the entrance of the waterfront that brew on the premises. Can't remember the names but one is a german style and the other has a Scottish name from what I can remember. It was all a bit of a blur. Well worth visisting.

Mitchell's Scottish Ale House and Ferryman's Tavern? Adjacent buildings; have done both. Only 6 pubs on Waterfront- but many cafés and restaurants serve a thirsty Innforcer. Have been out to Newlands to have a look round and already ticked off the Springbok Pub next to the ground

Tried the Fireman's Arms? It's a few minutes walk up the main road out of the city from the waterfront. Best Sports pub in town. Don't be fooled by the outside. Ask anyone. Everyone knows where it is.
