August 2. Super Rugby Final night. Doesn't show much confidence in their own side does it.
Great place to be ordering taxis from too- not.
Uni should open their clubromms for pre and post drinks. Put out swags and charge for a sleepover.

I tweeted them today and they said they had booked it, finals permitting! Guess they have to at least make a booking and get some plans happening as they can't leave it to the last minute!

Agree with you about the venue, but when you get negligible financial backing from the ARU unlike some other franchises, and have a travel bill that dwarves any other franchise's travel bill, you have to cut your cloth! I'd prefer them to spend money on the players & staff than some splashy awards night.

Challenge Stadium? Dinner on a squash court or at the poolside or is there really a suitable ballroom style facility

Went there for the Wildcats end of season do a few years back and it was down on the basketball court- wouldn't be surprised if it were the same for the Force.

As per the other post- getting taxis out there is near impossible at the end of the night- We'd driven and organised to meet others at the Cas afterward- think those waiting for a cab got to the Cas 2 hours after us.

I remember waiting for a taxi for so long there, eventually some friendly coppers gave us a lift to Subi in the back of a paddy wagon! Luckily they let us out too!

CHALLENGE bloody STADIUM?.? WT? Mary what have you done?
Flight Centre tried having one of their yearly Balls there.....wasn't a huge success! Went back to a city venue! Have we got a definite date? SHOOOT! I'm in Vietnam early August! I will still organize the table/s....what a disaster!
