The Rebels seem to be buying up every player on the east coast at the moment - Cam Crawford is the latest.
As I thought they were only surviving on the smell of an oily ARU rag, how are they affording all these new guys??
Anyone?
Do you know how much oils costs these days or what type of oil is on that rag............they (the ARU) have plenty. It will be balanced with the Tahs keeping all stars and JOC and K Hunt being placed at the Reds.

FFS!! Meanwhile, we and the Brumbs are left to forage on our own with not even a whiff of the smell of the oily rag!! Grrrrrrrr!!
Let them have their oily rag, we've done fine without it!

This is true Jargan! For now!!
The ARU have advanced them another loan of $3 mil on top of what they already owe, presumeably. And they are supposedly almost insolvent. Somehow they have also coughd up over a mil to cover money Waratah Rugby is supposed to have paid to community Rugby out of it's profits. (If that wasn't so tragic it would be laughable). No wonder so many volunteers are dejected.
Like Jargs said, let them keep their oily rag.

It looks like the Melbourne Rebels may have to change their name to the Melbourne Reds:
Dom Shipperly has now joined Harris, Placid, Weeks, Higginbottom and sure I may missed some others.
Richard Graham is seeing his team disappear before his eyes.
And the Reds thought we only poached their players!!!!
We scrum for posession, run for the try zone, bleed for the team and live for the game
I seem to remember them siging a load of new backs a couple of years ago, and it didn't really give them the rewards they were looking for. And in the article below, it doesn't say much for the calibre of backs they signed back then (i.e. O'Connor, Beale and Cipriani), if Tony McGahan is calling the recent signing of Dom Shipperley a "coup":

Those 3 amigos did nothing for the Rebels, except maybe eat up a lot of their salary cap and drink the club bar dry
Oh no, hang on - the ARU will be paying for Hunt :-/
Just so long as they keep their mitts off Our Boys! Or Else!
