Tickets are now on sale for Perth Spirit home matches in Perth for the 2014 Buildcorp National Rugby Championship (NRC) that kicks off this week.

The Spirit, a team formed from Western Force players and leading players from Perth’s Pindan Premier Grade, will play matches in Perth at McGillivray Oval (Sunday, 31 August), Joondalup’s HBF Arena (Sunday, 28 September) and Rockingham Rugby Union Club (Saturday, 4 October).

Tickets have been priced to promote family attendance, with adult tickets $15, concession tickets at $10 and unaccompanied junior (under 17) tickets $5. Juniors accompanied by a ticket-buying adult will be admitted free-of-charge.

Three-game packages are also available with adult tickets $30, concession $20 and unaccompanied junior (under 17) tickets $10.

Perth Spirit General Manager, Andrew Hill says the Perth Spirit is looking forward to holding matches at suburban venues across Perth as a means of bringing the new competition to the Western Australian rugby public.

“We want our rugby community to be a part of the Perth Spirit and the Buildcorp National Rugby Championship,” he said. “It is extremely important that our ticket pricing, combined with the location of matches in the northern, central and southern regions of Perth, allows everyone access to see the best club players from our Pindan Premier Grade playing alongside stars from the Western Force.

“It’s really important we give our Western Force fans and club rugby faithful an opportunity to get out to all our games we’ve tried to encourage that by offering great value three-game packages and allowing juniors to attend for free when accompanied by a ticket-buying adult.

“There will be exciting rugby on offer with the new law variations encouraging attacking rugby and I’d encourage everyone to get out and support the Perth Spirit, who will be representing rugby in WA, playing in our traditional state colours of black and gold.

The Perth Spirit will kick off its NRC campaign against the Canberra Vikings in Canberra on Saturday (23 August).
