Talking Wallabies total Springboks 49 - nil!

It's official! In the immortal words of Thin Lizzy, The Boys are Back in Town!

After about roughly 53 seconds of sloppy play with a greasy ball, the Wallabies sucked it up, gave it their all and showed just how gosh darned good they can be! Even giving the Boks a solid quarter hour of play time in the attack on the second half left them scoreless (and this was about all the possesion the boks had).

I may be riding high on the Force's victory this arvo, but damn that was a good game to watch - even if it was a 2 and a half hours delayed telecast on commercial ridden Channel 7 (gggrrrrr) Onya Holmesy for your 2nd try in almost as many weeks, and to Gregan for knowing only a prop forward could have pulled that try off.

Gits did good, Rocky did great and Fava was, in my humble (rather biased) opinion, the quiet achiever - a full 80 minutes of giving it all for the team! Aussie Clyde deserves a mention for that last try and Mortlock and Larkham shone as usual. Tonights match was really a team effort!! The trinations aren't looking quite as one sided as they were a week ago - I'm off to get me another beer

Referee Paul Honiss gets an 7/10 with a dark mark for the dodgy scrum call in the first half (in Australias favour) - I'd be interested to hear a South Africans or perhaps even waReferee's honest opinion on his match...

I'd almost forgotten what it was like to watch your team beat very good opposition.

Feeling it a little bit right now but the party afterwards went into the wee hours of the morning. Classic classic win.

When we were heading back to the car (I wasn't driving) we walked across a rugby field, were I did an impromptu Steve Larkham drop goal impersonation with my water bottle. Have you ever tried drop goaling a water bottle on a soggy ground when you're drunk? Not easy but I did boot it. Bloody Moses didn't get out of the way of it though and it almost smacked him in the head... I laughed.

I thought Scotty Fava played a cracker. The side is better balanced with George in his rightful no 7.Best display by an 8 since Lyons was in form a ways back(apart for Georges whole hearted efforts).Fava has skills to go with just taking the ball up, and plenty of nous.Am i right?

You`re right, and when your right, YOUR RIGHT
The whole team played well for 70minutes, i thought the first ten was pretty average, but it served to blow out the cobwebs, and then the show really began. If you remember my old thread regarding forwards using more ball skills more under knuckles, last night was once again a perfect example

On another note... did anyone read The Sunday Times this morning (WA newspaper)
I couldn't believe how many pages i had to go back to find the rugby match reports. Pages and pages of AFL results and match reviews and even the Tour De France reports were even before the rugby! For a win that outstanding and for it to be an international sport with a huge following in Western Australia I couldn't believe the space and amount dedicated was so insignificant! One page many many pages in from the back that was even shared with a rugby league match report.
    I'm not impressed!
But I was impressed there was a force and toshiba match report. (thanks rick)
Made me a little less angry at this morning's paper.
