Morahan seems to be falling off a lot of tackles too at the moment. Not good enough.

Bad news is that i didn't win $300
Good news is that I only lost $50!

A lot better than last week but a lack of vision in attack IMO!

Much, much better than the last two weeks. If we had played like that two weeks ago we would've smashed the Reds. I can live with that match, based on effort and focus

PS No idea what possessed Kyle to kick it away after the siren with a bonus point in play

Yeah. Pity about the two right under their posts in the first half though. Brumbies on their knees both times and they get let off the pressure with a penalty.

Neither would he. It's not called a brain fart for nothing.

It seems to be his pet trick in games now and it drives me insane - grubber kicks should be BANNED!

There were at least 4 chances at a try that were stuffed up. 200% on the last 2 games but we are still back to the same level as beginning of last season I reckon.

True. Our team is not among the strongest. But with Holmes, Godwin, Hoskins, Burton and Koteka all on the park the Force are blooding WA players. I'm happy with that as long as the team has a good crack. Even if the Fox dickheads think Koteka is from Tokoroa.

At times the Force looked structured and played well. The reffing was not consistent at all. But in the end, Dumb Fuckin' Rugby. If Foley is telling them to give hard earned possession away, sack him! If the players are taking it on themselves to kick it away, drop them. I'm finding them are really hard to watch, again!!

I think if we improve another 10-15% we might be as good as we were last year.

Reffing was shit I was throwing shoes at the Telly with him penalizing the force for exactly what he let the Brumbies get away with seconds before.

Eg Alby Matthewson was told he was trapping Brumbies his side of the ruck, stop being a dick and play rugby, then Nic White does the same thing, penalty.

And how long does he think is a reasonable advantage for a knock on. The Brumbies passing it three times in the clear to Matt Toomua who runs into a brick wall tackle and drops the ball, most refs would call that advantage over, until of course the force do it, and we lose advantage whilst backpedalling under pressure.

This game it might have made a difference, because the Brumbies played their usual game of lying all over the ball progressively worse and worse until they are penalized, they weren't.

One of the 500 errors Fox Sports produces on a weekly basis

I think Godwin needs to be moved in 1. Every time that chap gets the ball he dummy's it and cuts in

    Couldn't agree more!
Also don't think last nights game was as bad as the previous 2, so I'm gonna look at the glass half full and try to take the positives out of it.
Ball retention is absolutely killing us though. Got no issues plodding away inside the 10m for 18-25 phases if that's how we want to score tries, but FMD we lose the ball a lot.

Knock the ball on. Lose it in contact. Any stupid handling errors to be punished with additional training sessions purely on passing, catching and handling imo

WF Ruck stats from last night's game against the Brumbies.

    Remember:
    1. Early means 1st or 2nd AFTER the ball carrier has been tackled and brought to ground.
    2. Impact means active engagement: strong physical contact, changed shape of ruck, clean-out, protecting ball etc. (more than hand on someone’s bum or arriving after the hard work has been done). Yes it’s subjective - but as I collect all data at least it’s consistent.
    3. Impact DOES NOT equate to Effectiveness. I’ve concluded that coming up with an effectiveness measure is just too hard in the time that I have available.

    Attachment 3697

Also the breakdown by each 10 mins of the game.

    Attachment 3698

Steve Mafi seems to have stepped up and found his place in the team and become used to the pace of the game.
Impressive ruck stats, plus try, plus turnover. Would like to see him carry the ball more.

Another good ruck performance from Sam Wykes.

Solid ruck performances from Chris Alcock and Nathan Charles.

Significant improvements across-the-board in intensity and getting to rucks earlier to either support the ball carrier or pressure a turn-over.

Another impressive ruck performance by Junior Rasolea - the best of the Backs.
    Others: Holmes - 13; Brache - 11; Godwin - 11.

Outstanding ruck effort off the bench from Kane Koteka and Chris Heiberg.

Our Tackle efficiency was very low at 83%. (Brumbies were 89%).

75% of possession and 82% of the Territory in the 2nd half and couldn't get the points!

ForceFan has posted an analysis on G&GR - including the Brumbies ruck stats.
