I'm not sure that is good news for Aus. The game was dominated by penalties, many for any minor offense that had no effect on play. If that is how these games go, I would observe that they didn't miss any...not sure I'd have the same confidence with our kickers. More importantly, and maybe it is the cynic in me, but subconscious or otherwise I think there will be a great reluctance to punt the hosts out of the comp. So tight game, heavily disrupted, lots of penalties...not sure that is really Australia's gig. They will need to be extremely clinical and capitalise on every possible opportunity and I'm just not sure we've seen any real signs of that.
If not, it may come down to bonus points and we didn't go for it against Fiji...
That thought has crossed my mind too. Though I know I'll be accused of being in the "Spiros Zavos tin-foil hat brigade"
