Godwin gone and Tabai puts his name up

    Some interesting stuff here

Nick Taylor - The West Australian on July 23, 2016, 12:12 pm

Western Force centre Kyle Godwin’s departure to the Brumbies means 12 players, one third of last season’s squad, have now left the Super Rugby club.
End-of-season turnover is nothing new, but the Force are now likely to enter another rebuilding phase, a less than ideal scenario given how poorly they have performed in the past two seasons.
Only three players — prop Ben Daley, second-rower Ben Matwijow and centre Billy Meakes — have been announced as new signings.
The Force, whose brand was damaged further by alcohol-fuelled misbehaviour during their recent trip to South Africa, desperately need an experienced tighthead prop to join Tetera Faulkner given they have only rookie Jermaine Ainsley behind him.
Discussions with NRL star Curtis Rona are continuing and they are still negotiating with hooker Nathan Charles.
The Force were interested in Melbourne winger Tom English, but talks have come to nothing.
Godwin’s move has been one of Super Rugby’s worst kept secrets. He sees the chance to work with former Wallaby great and Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham, who is also an Australian assistant coach, as a great opportunity.
The Perth product spent time with Larkham earlier this year while in the extended training squad before the England Test series and also spoke with coach Michael Cheika about his future.
Godwin, whose career has been soured by injury, will be hoping the move will get him back on the track that had him tipped to make the Wallabies a couple of years ago.
[B]But his time with Larkham may be curtailed with the Australian Rugby Union considering a move to scrap Wallabies part-time assistant coaches and put them into full-time roles.
It would be a big decision for Larkham to leave the Brumbies and one that might also affect the future of young fly-half Nick Jooste, who was lured from the Force by Larkham.
Meanwhile it is understood Crusaders assistant coach Tabai Matson is interested in the vacant Force job.

Judging by the speed Kiwi teams play, the angles they run and their all round teamwork I think any coach from there would be better than the rubbish coaches we produce )(except Bob Dwyer )
