When I wrote this weeks report, I suggested that this coming weeks chat would be bring a friend along night. Aparantly that is too hard, or you have no immagination soooo I have cancelled that.

Industrial relations, he basically wants everyone to work anytime for no penalties, and if they don`t they can be sacked with no recourse for getting their job back. In other words, he is making it easy to hire and fire people so the government looks like it has created more jobs, when in fact it hasn`t done f all, except ruin peoples careers. If you have been with the same company for twenty years, tough sh*t...sacked, no arguments, look at the boss the wrong way, sacked......you get the idea....
He likes the way they do business in communist society i reckon

New IR laws will allow those workers who can demonstrate strong productivity to take advantage of performance based remuneration incentives as opposed to a unionistic "do the bare minimum, you'll get paid the same anyway" attitude. It will allow them to give up award based conditions that mean nothing to them (i'm sorry, maternity leave may be important to some but means nothing to me and i'd gladly give it up for an increased wage) in exchange for other benefits or remuneration increases.
