Post-game presser after the Tahs game.

Tim talks about momentum.
I thought that Gardner did a fair job but there were three decisions which changed momentum in the game:
05:44 Hooper was allowed to enter a ruck from the side and earn an easy turn-over only 2m from the Force's Try line. Certainly killed the Force's momentum.
60:45 The ball is fed back from the ruck on the Force's side of the 50m line. Hunt kicks for a 22/50 and gets it. Tashs gain momentum and go on to win the lineout and score a try at 61:59.
74:00 Hunt kicks for another 22/50 but the ball bounces and goes into touch before the 22m line. The AR convinces Gardner that it went out AFTER the 22m line. The Tahs maintain momentum and keep the Force scoreless in the 2nd half.
All that aside a good showing from the lads and one from which they will learn heaps.
9 SR debuts for our young team.

And, if I'm correct Andrewg it was the same ar that fucked us on both 50-22 calls.
C'mon the
All Black Richard Kahui signed on for Force.

Matt's comments as follows:
Kahui’s experience and knowledge would be invaluable.
“To bring someone like him into he squad is exciting. He’s someone who has been there, done it,” Hodgson said.
“After one day you can see why he is a world class player and what he is going to add to the group on-field and from Monday to Friday - the one percenters.”
It seems that Hodgo reckons Kahui has something to offer in helping to develop our young backs.
He certainly has an impressive record with 10 tries in his 17 tests.
Matt would have certainly played against Kalui.
Comes across as a pretty good bloke and still Capt of his team in Japan - and he was available and didn't need to go through quarantine.
I suggest there's a desire to win more than we lose in SRAu.
Another recent interview - his family is living in Oz because of the support group for his son who has autism

Ok sounds good - didn’t know much about him. Being an AB will certainly add even more starch to the group.
