Hopefully it starts bucketing down when England are bowled out because we're more then capable of losing quick wickets and we can come out under blue skies in the morning.

Given the cowardly English selections leaving Anderson and Broad out I guess Dave Warner might feast on this second string attack. But with the overcast conditions that will suit the bowlers.

Say what you really think. Benefit of doubt on Jimmy Anderson I suppose; but given that, the non-selection of Broad is a bit hard to fathom. He's been a bloody pest for us in the past. Father time catching up??

Green deck with heavy overhead conditions, it would remind Broad and Anderson of home! Everything I read last night suggested that Anderson wasn't injured but was being rested, same with Stuart Broad. Given Broad constantly dismissed the Australian openers cheaply in England during the the 2019 series it's a pretty big call. What's the point of targeting the Second Test for your main strike weapons when you could likely be 1-0 down after that first innings.

    Play your best Xi.

Covers off so we might see some more play this afternoon.

Solid start - good to see Jack Leach get treated as the bald plodder he is.

And the match is now essentially two innings vs one for the poms (Aus 1/148)

Don't be too hasty, England into the Aussie tail now with Warner at the other end.

So I missed any tech explanation why no ball ant be reviewed. Anyone the wiser. Seems weird whe DRS is available.

Not really, I know the 3rd Umpire is supposed to review every ball now but the ABC commentators have mentioned that the system is down and will be for the whole Test. Yet if there is a DRS referral they can still check the front foot.
