Looks like we are about to lose Folau Fainga before he even started

It looks like it may be the next French season so we may still have FF for season 2023.

If that's true, I'd have to say it's not a big surprise when you consider the to-ing and fro-ing that's gone on in that part of the 2023 list recently.

He signed with us so he could play in the RWC 2023 which starts in Sept 2023. I doubt very much if he would be picked under the Giteau rule so he will have to be with us next season.
Probably just lining up his future for when the RWC is over.

New Force-hooker to be one-year hit wonder

Folau Fainga’a’s stay at the Western Force will be a short one, with the Wallabies hooker to join Clermont following the World Cup in France.

After being financially squeezed out of the Brumbies, Fainga’a only ever signed a short-term deal with the Force as Rugby Australia desperately attempted to keep the hooker Down Under.

But the experienced 27-year-old, who has frustrated fans with his lack of discipline, will move to the French

I think, based upon his wallabies work and the longer term prospects, he should be a training partner for feleti who should be our #1 hooker

I can't see any benefit to playing ff and having kaituu sit the bench.

    FIXED.

.....that is if my memory is accurate, as I recall reading that Jack was "returning to studies". If that is accurate, well go well young man. If it's code for accommodating Rennie/RA's wishes then...... And if the latter is the case I just hope management only agreed conditionally that an RA top-up covers nearly all his salary.
