Surely Hawkes Bay had someone we could have parachuted in? 😂

I'm choosing to believe a 34 year old man with family in tow will see this as a final opportunity to redeem his name and take this last chance to invest in himself, his family, his team and his heritage.
It would be easy for some to see Slipper through a similar lens, but tonight we celebrate him as one of the competitions greats.

Robbo must have his exams soon, get him back on the paddock. Also a little surprised they haven’t called Abra back.

I was thinking during the love fest for slips, how different thing might have turned out.

I don't remember his personality at the Reds but I sense that the "unspoken incident" actually played a major part in making him.

I seem to recall he was to do six months postgrad study. Looked OK in the Varsity Match so the ACL must be good to go. You'd imagine he'd be heading back ASAP to give Joe Schmidt a decent look at his form.

In 2018 a two month ban and $27,500 fine after twice testing positive to cocaine.

To clarify, I recall the incident and outcome, just not what his personality was like as a younger member of the Reds.
Am saying that an unexpected outcome of it is that he took that second chance.
