We know what Robbo will bring to the paddock.
Really interested/excited to see what Ollie and Bayley bring to this player group.

Western Force trio Tom Robertson, Ollie Callan and Bayley Kuenzle selected for Australia A to tackle Japan

Western Force prop Tom Robertson, flanker Ollie Callan and inside back Bayley Kuenzle will line up for Australia A against the Japan XV in Tokyo on Saturday.

Homegrown talent Callan and Kuenzle will be making their senior international debuts.

New Force coach Simon Cron said the selections were well deserved.

    “It’s brilliant,” Cron said.

“It’s great to see the versatility of Robbo (Robertson) being able to go to tighthead.

“It’s exciting for him and his future at the World Cup showing he is able to cover both sides of the scrum.

“Ollie had a great season. He’s a genuine openside and will thrive in that environment.

“Bayley is a standout No.12 and a future Wallaby. It’s a good opportunity for him to get more game time and show what he can do there.”

The starting side features eight Wallabies including an all-capped front row with loosehead prop Matt Gibbon and hooker Lachlan Lonergan joining Robertson.

The second row pairing of Nick Frost and Cadeyrn Neville will back up just seven days after playing against New Zealand in the Rugby Championship.

Openside flanker Callan links with blindside Ned Hanigan and No.8 Langi Gleeson.

Scrumhalf Ryan Lonergan captains the side and will combine with Ben Donaldson in the halves.

Kuenzle and Hudson Creighton are in the centres, Filipo Daugunu and Suli Vunivalu on the wings and Jock Campbell at full-back.

Australia A starting side: Matt Gibbon, Lachlan Lonergan, Tom Robertson, Nick Frost, 5. Cadeyrn Neville, Ned Hanigan, Ollie Callan, Langi Gleeson, Ryan Lonergan (c), Ben Donaldson, Filipo Daugunu, Bayley Kuenzle, Hudson Creighton, Suliasi Vunivalu, Jock Campbell. Replacements: Billy Pollard, Harry Hoopert, Archer Holz, Ryan Smith, Brad Wilkin, James Tuttle, Isaac Henry, Mark Nawaqanitawase.

    Nick Taylor The West
