Cheika, Rugby & the Mungo WC.

Interesting Australian Story titled "In a Different League". Michael Cheika; background, career and how many balls he has in the air ATM.
His Leb Mungos can get to the quarters if they get past an Irish side full of Superleague players and a few NRL men. Should they do that, his juggling skills will be well tested as they will play in the North of England on Sat November 5 while Argentina face England at Twickenham on Sunday the 6th.

As a "casual" Mungo match watcher. I find the League World Cup a joke

most of the players are NRL journeymen who couldn't name the capital city of the Country they are representing.

Let alone the Players representing Australia who believe that it is more important to play for NSW or Queensland.

Me too. But I'll still watch some of it - without judging the likes of Brad Thorne for choosing to play origin.

OK, I know absolutely nothing about the RL World Cup, is there a player who plays for a country other than Australia who also represents Queensland or New South Wales?

because my guess at the probability of this situation occurring is about 85.3%

Heaps. Half the Samoan team for starters. I think lots of 'em may even know the capital city.

I tend to agree however given how predictable the Rugby World Cup is sometimes some might find that somewhat of a joke too.

Japan's recent performances at RWC have proven that wrong. They have thrown the Unpredictability right out the window.

So predictable for the most part?

Bet you $50 these are the Qtr Finalists next year.

    France
    New Zealand
    Ireland
    South Africa
    Wales
    Australia
    England
    Argentina

So given this predictability, what odds would you offer about Samoa facing Australia in the Mungos?

Not much given they'll have to get past Tonga in the quarter.

Disclaimer: I had not even checked the pools before now and I have had a few beers this afternoon.

You've gone a step further than me then. I just think either of those are capable of getting past NZ, with Samoa the Smokies. In any event there should be some good matches from the qf's onwards.

How did Brad Thorne qualify for All Blacks - I am sure that he played for the Kangaroos.
