    Cunning plan #8341

I wonder if it's worth - for one of the Force Home Games - to just open the gates and let everyone in. The cost of the ground would be the same full or empty or part thereof. Yes - there would be increased staffing costs. Wouldnt that cost be covered by the additional sales of Food, drinks, and Merchandise?

Encourage all of the Members to bring friends, family, and neighbors along. A full house, loud and proud would help our team perform and get us over the line.

The only problem I can foresee is some Members will complain that they have paid for their ticket. And everyone else gets in for free. Not sure how to solve that one. Perhaps they/you/we take the hit, for the Greater Good.

One match - won't see us with a full house the next home game - but I would bet all of my vCash that 20-35% of the invited "guests" would come back.

One match - let's show off how much fun Live Rugby can be to watch - and new fans will be made.

Maybe Twiggy could pay people to come?

I'd turn up for $200 and free grog ......

Although I see merit in this, it's still a business. Our next 4 games are Highlanders, Drua, Brumbies and Chiefs.

The NZ games usually bring a few more spectators already (extra bars open up) the Chiefs especially have historically had a good fan base here.

So Fiji or the Brumbies game? Drua is earlier timeslot for families, Brumbies is 8pm.

Maybe even at/after half time entry? For those on the fence about attending?

The greed of venues is also a factor (all sports /Stadiums) at this time with interest rates, a night out at sport inclusive if food and drink can be costly

How about Twiggy stumps up a mill for a lottery, each week someone attending wins 50000, if attend every game you are in for a shout for a million

Free tickets for every registered junior, send them out via the club and set up section full of these kids, they are the future.

Fiji. Lean into the Pacific Island aspect, get whatever local associations there might be involved, make it into a festival.

I remember during the Indo-Pacific/GRR the fans of each visiting team had a presence and thought it odd that it hadnt carried over to Moana.

That, and the issues around members who have paid for a specific seat potentially being unable to sit where they normally do because a free-entry fan is sitting there.

First-World problems, but you don't want to risk disenfranchising your core fanbase.

Also, this kind of initiative should be done for week/round 1, not midway through the season, so that you can get the full knock-on effect for the remainder of the year.

Doing it in the latter stages of a short season loses all positive momentum before the time the new season comes around, but those negatively impacted (members/ticketholders who had already paid, or who couldn't sit in their usual seats) will have long enough memories to remember when it comes to renewal time.

Giving all registered juniors a free ticket, especially to corner/end blocks, is a far better initiative in my opinion. Even giving them a free +1 adult (by redemption?) would see more uptake than open gates for all, I think?

The Crusaders used to do something like that where you could have one free adult bring up to 10 kids free or thereabouts.

The NRL do this although there may be some games that you can't use a free junior pass to attend.

    Still a good idea though.

We have some distant rellies and my next door neighbour who get free tix as they work for some of AF's businesses. They offer them to us. I say we're members, go yourself. You might like it, if not your kids probably will. Or give them to someone else. They don't bother.
Maybe I'll take them and see if I can get someone along, in future.

How about every member gets an allowance of say three free tickets at the start of the season they can give to family or friends whenever they want ? They jump onto ticketmaster to exchange them for real tickets.

Some very cunning plans from our would be Baldricks. I hope the medical staff manage a cunning-er one - get all the boys in rehab up and running double-quick and keep winning at home. If that doesn't get the turnstiles clicking I dunno what will.

    Probably the best idea There.

    F**king win.

A lot of people I know think the Force are losers and it's hard to argue that point. Keep winning and you'll likely see an uptick in attendances.
