    Richard Hardwick

    From Rugby.com.au

Meanwhile, cult hero Richard Hardwick will also leave, with his destination unconfirmed.

    I wonder where he's heading?
    Home?

From a parochial point of view it would be nice to think so.
At 29 his best years are arguably behind him given how hard he has treated his body though.
We haven't a great record on exRebel Backrowers...

I wouldn't say no if he decided to come back to Perth, but back-rowers aren't where we should be concentrating our recruitment at the moment. Front-rowers are a much more urgent need.

Surely going overseas, our backrow is very full especially if we are signing Will Harris as reported

Well he's had a stellar year but has opted for Namibia as he wasn't in Rennie's plans. Time to top up the super I'd reckon.

    Great player.

Hopefully off to earn some super and get ready for the World Cup with Namibia.

Might be a different story if he hadn’t punched Ian Prior in the face coupla years ago. Didn’t do himself any favours in popularity stakes with SOB fan base or Force HQ.

G&GR news today says Hardwick is off to the Ealing Trailfinders, which sounds like quite a step down for Dickie...?

I think Ealing are one of the likely beneficiaries of the Irish etal shemozzle being in line for promotion.

Ealing was where Carlo Tizzano ended up between leaving Sydney & re-joining Force.
I would agree that it is a bit of a step down for Dickie, even if they do end up getting promoted to the Premiership following Irish's suspension.

As Doncaster were the only Championship team that the RFU said met the criteria for promotion to the Premiership (and they ultimately finished 6th), I'm not sure Ealing will belucky enough to get promoted though, as even the 2022/23 Championship winners, Jersey Reds, weren't given promotion for next season.

I recall reading that the RFU is probably happy to keep the Premiership to 10 franchises for the time being (if 10 can stay solvent that is). In any event, it's a little hard to see Dickie getting much of a super top-up there in the current financial climate.

Adam Korczyk is returning to Australia according to the Ealing website.
I wonder if is a direct swap to Rebels?
Can't see any destination announcements as yet.
