    Injuries & Updates 2023

    Afternoon crew

Was hoping anyone in the know, who has any information regarding the current squad injuries & expected rehab / return to playing estimates, could post in on here.

Not heard anything on socials from HQ

I know Pasitoa has a way to go. As does Robertson.

    Anything on Spink, Rodda etc?

As fans and members we get frustrated not knowing what is happening with injured players and I am probably one of them, however, we need to bear in mind that there are other more important factors at play:

    * Some injuries for certain players are not quantifiable in time terms.

    * Some injury diagnosisis have a psychological bearing on the players recovery and spinning out media releases on the situation may not be helpful.

    * The injury could have implications on the players employability in the future.

    * Possible affect of public knowledge on the players Mental Health.

And the most important reason, Medical Health records are private and confidential. Our work places do not list on the notice board each day the latest reasons for people not attending work, and at the end of the day this is the players work place.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

    Not sure

However, that said I have found one site that does seem to try and keep on top of this for all teams drawing from various sources:

    Draft Rugby Injury Lists

    and the weekly

    * Draft Rugby Casualty ward (This seems to be not working at the moment may also be injured *

Thinking back. Did we not used to get injury updates when SKG were onboard with us?

Cheers Jargs. I was just using it as an example of previous reporting.

Spoke to Ask in the media department regarding the issue. She said they were attempting to get information on injuries out on socials, but have been receiving push back from the med team. However they would keep trying………..

Was it “a serve of word salad” that Shasta made reference to a couple of weeks ago? 🙄

Not word salad, I didn't see any terms like suboptimal implementation timeline or negative growth indexing.

    Just an old fashioned excuse
