Was chatting with a mate at the ground last night and we had the RWC pools and knock out stage in front of us.

Ireland and France are in the same side of the draw - best stage they can meet is the Semi's.

Wallabies would most likely meet England in the Semis.

Not quite. If either France win Group A and Ireland are 2nd in Group B, or vice versa, then they'll meet in one of the quarter-finals in Paris.

But if both France wins Group A and Ireland wins Group B then, if they win their respective quarter-finals, Ireland go into semi-final 1 and France go into semi-final 2, so they can meet in the final. In fact, the one stage that they can't meet each other is the semi-finals.
