It's a fair concern, from this group there is quite a drop down to the rest of the key players.
However, as has been said, great encouragement in the maturity of play in the "young 'uns" on their way back from Bloemfontein, so hopefully that translates to SR.

Julian “The Bus” Savea and the Hurricanes have parted ways.

Hurricanes management confirmed after Savea’s post that he is “departing” the franchise.

However, in a second social media post Savea stressed he was not retiring - and has signed for another Super Rugby franchise.

“I still have plenty of more years in the tank,” he said.

“I will be joining another Super Rugby team and will be announcing that next week. Watch this space.”

This is a big loss imho, only partially made up for by the incoming Harry Potter. It makes it even harder to understand no Manasa that they're coverign our two best wingers with 1 good fullback!

Have really enjoyed Toni's contribution at the WF but even he was getting frustrated by his inability to present himself as fit to play and stay on the park.
In reality he played about half the games over the past two season.
Sincerely hope that he goes well in MLR.

Yes, have to say I reflect this sentiment Andrew.
He was a decent player and an asset, but I think we are a better Squad in '24 than '23, so some need to move on for that to have happened.

Depending on how this world cup pans out Donaldson may be a natural fit for fullback. Potter has played on the wing in the UK. Is Chase fast enough to play on the wing? Is Ronan Leahy ready to play Super Rugby?
