Looking a little further at the Squad omissions and possible cover.

    In France-
    Hodge has gone to Bayonne
Samu is moving to Bordeaux to join Douglas and Coleman
Fainga'a is moving to Clermont to join Simmons (shudder...) Newsome and Simone
    Godwin is at Lyon
Pollard is on short term to La Rochelle
Latu is moving to Montpellier to join Paenga-Amosa
    Naivalu is at Stade Français
Lolesio is on shot term to Toulon

    In England-
    Sio is with Exeter
Carter and Powell are with Leicester
    Hoskins is with Saracens

Will be interesting seeing what combination is selected for Australia A.
Including uncapped in Europe, there would be enough for a mid week fixture against Australia A as an Australian Barbarians selection.

I haven't kept up with the selection criteria these days, but are there still restrictions on overseas based players and the Giteau rule exception? Or is Eddie Jones allowed to pick whomever he wants regardless of where they play?

Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!

Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?

Dunno either, but I'd guess emergency call-ups (Ollie Hoskins) are exceptions maybe.

Ostensibly the giteau law is still in play, but it's an ra protocol so watch it get dismantled the instant Eddie asks.

It seems that it's one in, one out, so it's the numbers rather than an individual.
That said, several of those listed would still be eligible with their Australian season.

That would seem to be the case, if they ignore the Covid 19 reason. RWC protocols don't have any such restrictions, so there are lots of possibilities..............

Should Hoskins come on at Twickenham, he will become Wallaby cap number 949 and the latest to benefit from recent selection criteria changes brought on by Covid-19 restrictions.

Previously "Giteau's Law", so-called after former fly-half Matt Giteau, meant overseas-based players needed to have a minimum of 60 Test caps and seven seasons of Super Rugby playing experience to represent Australia.

Rugby Australia relaxed those rules last August to include a maximum of two players to be selected and the criteria have been further eased for their current northern hemisphere tour.

Yes, yes, all very well, but the real question is, will Cooper, Hooper et al be eligible for selection in the RugbyWA finals for Cottesloe?

'Name Withheld' is a popular team sheet pseudonym these days, I observe ...
