I'm of a slightly different opinion jargs.

He was quite happy to be a public figure when everybody was telling him what a good job he was doing.

It's the cost of being a Cameron Clyne style of chairman, yes you get the slaps on the back when things are going well, but you also have to endure some people telling you you're shit when you've fucked up.

True, but like Jargs said; not when you are eating in a restaurant with family - or anyone really. Having said that it was a strange report really. The reference to "vitriol" was not directly attributed to the uninvited guest. It could refer to anything - social media, comments on click bate sites etc....
If I was in that situation I certainly would not have meekly drank some of that milk. If I felt threatened, I'd have asked management to demand he leave long before 10 minutes had passed.

Tbh I haven't read the story, so can't really make comment on whether a line was crossed. It was more of a general concept. If you're ok with somebody interrupting family dinner for a handshake and a selfie because they think you're a good bloke, you open yourself up to the handshake and "you're killing the game with your self centred mismanagement"

Going back a bit now, but to save starting a new thread.
Thought I'd compare the Dave Wallabies v the Eddie Wallabies against Wales 12 months apart-
