Fell asleep on the lounge before the end but beating England is always good.

Glenn Maxwell just played one of the greatest ODI innings of all time.

    Absolutely amazing stuff!
    I couldn't go to bed.
How was the spasm the poor bugger had, looked like he had been hit by a taser!

Like I've said; not big on limited overs. Away from home and just checking scores on and off. But as things progressed I tuned in ABC Listen and it was riveting stuff, pictures or not.

Walked into a pub this evening that had the replay on just the ball before the whole spasm sequence.
He "should have" been airlifted and on a drip from then, what he achieved after that point on (I think) 147 runs was truly extraordinary!
For those unaware, he could barely walk, let alone run and was hitting 6's from a fixed footing.

Yeah I watched some of those shots, he looked like he was set in concrete, you could tell the poor bugger was struggling.

Not a cricket watcher but I'm in awe of the guts he showed

Most folks probably thought him a bit of a dickhead giving himself the nickname. But he's earned it in spades now.

Maxwell never gave himself that nickname, it came from James Brayshaw. Apparently he's not a fan of the nickname either.

Well that'll teach me to take Rampaging Roy at his word he often talks about Big Show.

I always thought HG was the one always saying. "No I just made that up".

PS. It's also claimed to be from Matt Wade & Pietersen.

Maybe they should parachute in the Mugeerba's 3rd grade skipper.
