Time to be blunt - won’t win a game this year.

Too many unforced errors, penalties conceded and just dumb plays (why is a prop taking a quick tap from a 22 restart!). I don’t know why we are trying to kick penalty goals from 45+ when no certainty to kick them from 30m.

Potentially could be 3-1 but Owen has now turned four.

That was painful to watch. Some fairly slick backline movements in the first half were a glimmer of hope, but terrible handling errors, discipline and poor defensive reads throughout cruelled any chances.

It felt like they would improve as the game went on, with some of thoe plays just not quite coming off, but unfortunately the opposite was true.

At least the scrum held parity throughout... but that seemed more an indictment of the opposition than any real improvement from our reserves.

Cron should sit them down, make them go through the replay, and identify every instance where they had the ball and lost possession. Then make them identify why, and how many turnovers were genuinely earned by the opposition.

Personally, I think they were lucky not to be chasing 50+.

    I'm utterly despondent.

I'd rather have spent my hard earned watching WA club players get belted that so called professionals.

I'm also, today, officially jumping off the Michael Wells is shit bandwagon. It appears that every minute we play with both him and Nic White off the field we play like a complete shower of shit. It was 80 minutes of insipid briefly punctuated by two pretty slick tries against the run of play

Identify the problems and sit them the fuck down until they're not problems anymore

Pretty simple game. The team that runs & tackles hardest wins. We were not that team. That was f#cking totally unacceptable - because the players are better than that. They just didn't put in tonight.

After a loss like that, it's inevitable that people start questioning the coaching staff. We should link that video to every post that does.It doesn't make me any happier about the performance, but at least the reaction was appropriate. Now he needs to be cautious not to overtrain them this week and have them destroyed against the reds.

I only watched the mini match because there was something else on. I'm glad I didn't spend 2hrs on it.

It looked like so many wasted opportunities. You could say that at least there were opportunities, but that try bombed by Harris/IFL was painful.

So frustrating. The annoying thing is I think we have a very good coach and our backline is looking more dangerous than it has in a long time, if fines scores that first try last night it is different game.

The penalties are obviously killing us, a lot of them are stupid penalties the rest are the refs interpretation. Then the forward pack and especially the bench is where we are getting stuffed.

The only super rugby standard player we had on the bench last night was Nic White and then he wasn’t there! Horton needs to play 80 mins coz Kaituu comes on and can’t throw straight.

Kuenzle I thought was very good and don’t really think Spink should come straight back in.

Need to start trying something different. Give O’Donnell or Leahy a crack on the wing and move Potter to fullback. Start Princep and see what he offers. Put Moli on the bench. Unfortunately not many other options

I have little respect for any manager who publicly blames his guys for the group’s failure. He should take the heat and the responsibility publicly - even if he doesn’t think it was his fault - and say whatever he feels he needs needs to say to his players privately. That’s what respectful managers do. Humiliating your people in public is weak.

I think Cron should sit them down and tell them, as with any legal system, if you break the rules you get punished.
3 penalties in the first 4 minutes. FFS
