    Premiership clubs in trouble as league debt topples £300m, Sarries post huge losses

    Lawrence Dallaglio, the revered figure in English rugby, expresses concern over the financial health of the Premiership, fearing that two additional clubs could face jeopardy following the revelation that all 10 teams reported losses in their 2023 financial statements.

    He told talkSPORT: “There are other clubs on the verge of where Wasps are.

    “The key thing now is the stakeholders getting together and thinking of the best way to move forward.”

    Saracens suffered the most significant setback, recording a loss of £5,295,310, as their turnover of £23,206,354 fell notably short of their £28,559,147 budget.

    Meanwhile, Bristol Bears, supported by billionaire Steve Lansdown, ended with a total deficit of £4,554,814. Harlequins boasted the highest turnover at £26,813,850, yet their substantial budget of £30,392,791 led to a deficit of £3,648,893.
