Whoever fixtured the first three home games for the Force this year legit needs to give themselves an uppercut.
As per Chat GPT:
In Super Rugby Pacific, the fixtures and match times are organized by the competition's governing bodies, primarily:
SANZAAR (South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina Rugby)
SANZAAR oversees the overall structure and scheduling of Super Rugby, although South African and Argentinian teams no longer participate in Super Rugby Pacific.
SANZAAR ensures coordination between national unions, broadcasters, and commercial partners.
️ New Zealand Rugby (NZR) and Rugby Australia (RA)
Since Super Rugby Pacific is primarily made up of teams from New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, and Moana Pasifika (Samoa/Tonga/Islands), NZR and RA play major roles in planning.
Both unions collaborate closely to build the season schedule, considering things like:
Travel requirements (especially for Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika)
Stadium availability
TV broadcast windows (prime time slots in NZ/Aus/Pacific)
Player welfare (avoiding excessive travel and short turnarounds)
Special rounds (like Indigenous or Pasifika rounds)
Broadcast Partners
Broadcasters like Sky Sport (NZ), Stan Sport (Australia), and others influence kickoff times to maximize viewership across different time zones.
Process Summary:
NZR and RA draft the season format and structure.
SANZAAR approves the structure.
Detailed fixture dates, times, and venues are negotiated considering:
Team input
Travel logistics
Broadcast timing
Major events or clashes
Final fixtures are released publicly, usually around November before the season starts.
We scrum for posession, run for the try zone, bleed for the team and live for the game
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
I think The Worst is a bit late with this on the website today: "Super Rugby Pacific: Western Force’s Kane Koteka makes the most long-awaited of returns against Crusaders". It's behind the paywall so I can't see the rest.

So a fail on both Travel requirements & player welfare (playing in heat) for the Force

I suspect a bit of rotation with the Hookers with BPA due a Wallaby rest protocol match.
Coxon on for Pearce, as he has carried a huge load the last couple of weeks.
Harris has worked hard to get that starting spot, hard work being rewarded.
The rest of the starters as good as we have got.
Good to see Reesjan holding a spot even on the bench as he works himself back into it.
I am very dissapointed that young Palu has again succumbed to a shoulder injury, this kid has heaps of talent I just hope its minor.

Throbber obviously has a great motor for someone in the engineroom. I think he's started every game (?) & must be due a rest.

We need a good win to get our season back on track.
Wallabies quintet Ben Donaldson, Dylan Pietsch, Hamish Stewart, Carlo Tizzano and Nic White all return to bolster the starting side for Sunday’s Round 6 game.
Back-rower Nick Champion de Crespigny returns from head injury protocols, while Ryan Coxon and Nic Dolly come into the starting front row.
Vaiolini Ekuasi returns to the 23-player team list as an impact player after missing the past two away games to be with his partner for the birth of their daughter.
Tom Horton comes in to provide impact off the bench at hooker to starting rake Dolly, with Wallaby Brandon Paenga-Amosa to miss the game.
Divad Palu is unavailable after suffering a shoulder injury in last round’s loss to the Crusaders.
Kick-off for Sunday’s game is 2:05pm WST followed by the SMARTECH Super Rugby Women’s clash between the Force and Drua from 4:50pm WST.
The Force have teamed up with RugbyWA and VenuesWest for a free junior rugby ticket giveaway for Sunday’s double-header. The Club are offering one free child and adult pass for all registered juniors for the double-header, using this link by Friday 21 March.
