The Force hit Mandurah without fanfare

    Tuesday 5th December, 2006
    Chris Egan

As the twigs layed on the former soccer pitch that has been converted to a Rugby field. Big name signing Matt Giteau or John Mitchell did not appear, either did the Mandurah public or media. However the day was full of excitement for a number of Frederick Irwin Anglican School students.

With the game plays, the boxing, the stretching it was an interesting insight for the students and teachers involved to see how professional athletes train.

Around 80 students from the school watched the training session in perfect conditions and at one stage they involved some of the students in a tackle drill, which had the students involved in trying to push the Force players with mats.

As the session concluded, they signed signatures for many of the students and a few of the general public.

Western Force now head down to Busselton Senior High School for a training session on Thursday, on their regional sojourn to the south-west.

    Thanks guys.

I got to talk to my old school teachers as well, just a pity the Mandurah locals and media decided to abandon the training - Although I think the Force made a blue by not advertising it, it could have attracted a lot of potential customers to Subiaco next year.

Sorry about the length, but as you can see, it was fairly hectic with the other stadium news I had to report on.

I just read the Western Force training report from Freddies on their home site..and it is near on identical to my report

But geeze that was funny, seeing a total reprint basically of my article

Obviously me training report, wasn't that bad after all...

Hey Egan do what that photographer did. Threaten to sue for breach of copyright. Could be a lucrative lurk for both of us here!
