Theres been a poll on the SMH RugbyHeaven site for a couple of weeks now asking

Who should be the Wallabies fullback in Chris Latham's absence?

and the options are

Mark Gerrard
Peter Hewat
Drew Mitchell
Clinton Schifcofske
Mat Rogers

I guess that means nobody has realised that Mitchell has moved to the west!
Wheres Shep? Even Connolly seems to be implying he's the Wallabies #2 choice and he performed well in the "A" team on the Euro tour.

Incidentally Hewats winniing with 39% of the vote! Bloody Typical!

It seems that the Sydney Morning Herald, when compiling this poll left out Shep. I was playing on the fact that they DID include Mitchell and must have thought he was still an eastern stater! (because the left hand side of Oz doesn't truly exist to these guys!)

PS thanks to whoever fixed up my post and inserted the picture of the poll
PPS - yeah I thought the fact that they'd rather put a retirie on the poll (Rogers) rather than the number 2 choice (Shep) was a little obvious.

PPPPS- It was Coach, our fountain of all things helpful and nice...except on chat nights
WF2006 (and others), to insert the photos you need to look at the top bar above your new message (or "Go Advanced" message) where you will see a red square icon with a sort of white lined arrow. If you click on this it goes to a pop up window that allows you to browse for the required photo and then upload. Once it has uploaded it will give you an URL to copy and paste across to where you want to place the photo in your message.
There may be a more techo version than that, but that's what works for this dumb bum

I'm still failing to see just what this thread is about? You're saying it's eastern state bias, even though Mitchell's included, then you say that they mustn't be aware that Mitchell's moved west?

Crazy - yes - theres no denying it.
My point however is that there is an extreme Eastern States bias in excluding Shep from the poll as even Connolly seems to imply he's our #2 fullback.

My crack regarding Mitchell was more a limited attempt at irony (ie due to the extreme bias, its relatively amazing that they actually recognised another westerner at all and that maybe they didn't realise that he'd moved!)

There is no way we could possibly assume there is a working brain over at the SMH with the inclusion of Rogers , the SMH is giving NSW a bad rep as being dumber than Dunning ...

Rogers has more chance of making the Wallabies squad than Mitchell though.
