Hopefully Leroy has matured a little since last year and re-focused on having a Rugby career.
He certainly has the talent to make it and from memory had a fair few issues going on last year.
Would be a shame to not see him at least have a shot.

THE Queensland Reds are gaining a reputation as a rugby rehab centre, with Leroy Houston the latest wayward former Australia player approached as a possible back-row boost.

Queensland Rugby Union chief executive Ken Freer flew to Sydney yesterday to discuss the prospect of reactivating the promising back-rower's career in 2008.

The New Zealand-born Houston, only 20, was cut from the New South Wales Waratahs last year for persistent training absences, which flowed from family issues.

Former Australia coach Eddie Jones picked him for the 2005 Wallabies tour of Europe for his strong-running deeds in the national under-19 and under-21 sides that year.

The Reds are already the last-chance saloon for Andrew Walker, who has been a positive and grateful contributor since being given a chance after his two-year ban for cocaine use.

Walker's mentoring of the Reds' young backs has been a major plus since his late arrival for the season.

Agreed, hopefully he's dealt with his ongoing family issues and has matured to the point of becoming a reliable option. Hope he does well.
