With the focus on scrums and the recent retirement of Brendan I've been doing some sniffing around .. I found a very informative page on spinal injuries and some stats which I didn't expect!!

So what does it tell us,Happy. Yes, injuries have happened. We know that.Keep a record of them. OK. make rules to make the game safer.OK.

So what's new? Avoid spinal injuries, say the authors, don't know how, can't contribute to the discussion, just avoid spinal injuries.

Do they get paid for this simplistic rubbish?

Normally the wind in the park avoids most ping pong ball in the eye incidents....the darn things just float away!

Prop Anthony Mathison from the Reds has been forced to retire immediately due to a spinal injury. Unlucky.
