I think you will probably find there are less senior players missing to the ARC than there are to injuries by that stage in the local comp Grumpy.
With twenty six Forcemen not in the Wallaby Squad and only twenty eight on the roster for each team, unless locals are planning for a stint over East, there simply won't be the available roster positions.
Don't forget there was also a huge amount of interest from the East and overseas for prospective players to soley play in Perth.

I thought that at the beginning of all of this they said that there would only be 3 or 4 club players in this as most of the squad would be Force/ Academy players

    ABC and ABC2.

All you need to recieve ABC2 is a digital set top box which you can get for under $100 or even under $50. Well worth it.

ABC2 also comes through on Foxtel, so if you already have Foxtel don't bother with the set top box.

To be honest, I wouldn't have thought anyone selected for an ARC gig would be playing for their club right up to kick-off of the ARC. I would have thought they would all be in pre-season on a full-time basis, otherwise it will be no real step up and the amateur players will be nothing but chopping blocks for the professional players.

I would expect the ARC players to be training together on more or less a full time basis for some time prior to the comp kicking off , but expect the clubs to have some access over the coming few weeks at least. The potential for injury prior to the ARC will be a real consideration, playing and training.
The number of club players involved will probably be minimal I think.

Just wrote a big spiel about how there will most likely hardly any locals involved but it deleted somehow, bugger it
Basically, there will only be a couple of locals involved each week so I wouldn't be getting my jocks in a bunch just yet.

I think Fulvio is counting the Force squad blokes who drop back to the local teams. He has a point. IMHO. The best option to cover this problem in future?
Start the local comp 2 weeks earkier.

It appears that tickets will not be on sale until July, however we (TWF) are trying our best to get a priority booking so we can all sit together.

I have already booked the bus from for each game and I am prepared to start taking PAID BOOKINGS for

Return bus from for four (4) home games (4 x $10)
    Reserved seat in Grandstand (4 x $40 = $160)
    Total Cost $200

    or

    Reserved seat in Granstand (4 x x $40 = $160)

Obviously the amount of bookings I can take will be limited to the amount of seats which can also vary depending on the size of bus (up to 80 seat double decker) but I would idealy like to look at a group of 30 - 40.

You will need to forward payment to me in the coming weeks to ensure you get a seat in the stand AND on the bus.

    No Cash - No Booking.

Once this group has been filled I will look at taking "bus only" bookings.

Who wants in? Send me a PM please.

The ARC consists of eight teams (Sydney x 3, Brisbane x 2, Canberra, Perth and Melbourne). They play each other once, but the ARU has decided the comp should be EIGHT games, so at the end all the teams have an extra game against their "local derby" side. Perth will play the Western Rams on the other side of the continent -- at least they have "Western" in their name I suppose. My question is -- why? What does it matter if it's a seven or eight game comp? Anyone know or care to guess?

    Cynically - More money??
Realistically - to avoid a finals round clash with the AFL? - might increase exposure for sport junkies needing a fix?

Also how do these dates dovetail with the RWC?
