When the QRU themselves ran a "Boo Wendell" campaign, they sent a big message out that booing was OK - it's only gonna get worse....

It goes back earlier then that Coach....in the lead up to the 1977 Qld v NSW match the local paper and I think the QRU had a "come to Ballymore and boo a Blue" campaign.....

The NSWRU got the sads and said if the player's heard anyone boo when they went on the field they would turn around and leave...

Consequently a big crowd turned up and booed the Blues to a 48-10 loss...

The only thing I reckon you should boo is deliberate foul play. And maybe the occasional shocking decision by a ref/touchjudge.
Otherwise, cheer your team, and if they're playing badly and need encouragement - cheer louder!
