Is Brett Sheehan Japan bound?

Waratahs coach Ewen McKenzie has denied knowledge of a report that scrum half Brett Sheehan is poised to sign an offer to join Japanese rugby team Ricoh.

McKenzie, Australia’s most capped prop was surprised when he was informed of the report but said he would make immediate enquiries.

“Having signed Luke Burgess we now have three half backs including Josh Valentine so there is an issue there,” he told me.

“We signed Brett for another two years so I’ll certainly be asking some questions.”
