The only consistent thing about Soaks this year, as in previous seasons, has been the insufferable arrogance of their supporters (Burgs, Eric Hall and Arthur Auguste excepted- oh yes and Fletcher too, but only when they lose).

On field Soaks have been erratic, winning against Nedlands and Wests, yet losing to Uni and drawing with lowly Cottesloe (like the way I am picking up on Rick Boyd's favorite put down adjective?).

Palmyra on the other hand have been consistent, they have beaten lesser teams (but not by much) and been beaten by better teams (on the day).

On recent form, Soaks must be favoured to win, coming off victories against Wests and Nedlands, and likely to have all their Force players in action. Palmyra will have no such luxury, and indeed have been forbidden to play their Acadamy winger Ratu for no obvious reason (no, you cynics, I am not going into conspiracy theories, just stating a fact).

Pally go into the game coming off a sound win against an underrated Rockingham (who gave them a solid workout), without injuries, but it will require a determined, error free effort to take this game out at Allen Park.
