CONNOLLY ANNOUNCES 30-MAN QANTAS WALLABIES SQUAD FOR BLEDISLOE CUP CAMP IN SYDNEY

Qantas Wallabies Coach John Connolly has today announced a 30-man squad for a five-day training camp in Sydney in the lead up to the 2007 Bledisloe Cup decider against New Zealand on Saturday 21 July in Auckland.

The 30-man squad will assemble in Sydney on Friday 13 July before it is reduced to 24 players next Tuesday (17 July).

With the All Blacks and Springboks to do battle in Christchurch this Saturday, the Wallabies face a blockbuster final Test in Auckland where both the Tri Nations and Bledisloe Cup titles are up for grabs.

The 30-man Qantas Wallabies squad to attend camp in Sydney is as follows:

Adam Ashley-Cooper, Al Baxter, Mark Chisholm, Sam Cordingley, Ryan Cross, Matt Dunning, Rocky Elsom, Adam Freier, Mark Gerrard, Matt Giteau, George Gregan, Sean Hardman, Stephen Hoiles, James Horwill, Julian Huxley, Stephen Larkham, David Lyons, Hugh McMeniman, Drew Mitchell, Stephen Moore, Stirling Mortlock (c), Wycliff Palu, Benn Robinson, Nathan Sharpe, Guy Shepherdson, George Smith, Scott Staniforth, Lote Tuqiri (to train with the squad but is unavailable for Test selection due to suspension), Dan Vickerman, Phil Waugh (c).

Backs Chris Latham and Berrick Barnes and prop Rodney Blake will join the squad next Monday after playing in club rugby semi finals in Brisbane this Sunday.

The reduced touring squad of 24 players will depart Sydney for Auckland on Wednesday 18 July.
