Yes Sagerian, I know they mostly want to hang around Sydney.
But it gets up my nose when I hear about more Leguies being apprached for contract (often by NSW) and then NSW complain that the other clubs poach all their 'devloping academy players' - where else can they go? NSW seem to want to have their cake and eat it at the same time.

I'm more than happy to be wrong (I'm often wrong) but it's my understanding that a province can offer not more than 160k or there abouts. The top ups are from the aru (and 3rd party sponsership, which must be approved by the ARU).

Well that is sort of true. I mean, take Gits for example. My understanding is he earns him A$4.5 million over 3 years (A$1.5 million per season). However, only $700 000-$750 000 of that is from his Force and ARU contracts. The rest is sponsorship and 3rd parties and he has a lot of them from - TAG Heuer, SportsTAB, Madison headgear, Reebok, Tarocash, Summit footballs and kicking tees and Skillskin football products etc.

On another note...i really just think you guys should give SMH much more credit...i mean...it's not quite up there with Dolly (please see my signature) but it's certainly getting there i feel...especially with awesome journo's like Gerard writing for it

Dolly at least are aware they specialise in trash and don't pretend that the letters section is all made up... SMH aren't aware they specialise in trash.
