Fair's fair, I like the Spirit too, hoping to get out to the Spirit/Rays game too.

Well they said I was supporting the wrong team, I'm like "How do you figure?" Dunno if they came across or not. I'm sure I'll get to chat to them next home game when I'm in the seacaptain outfit waratahjesus is getting me. I'll still be telling them how great the spirit are though.

Thanks to TG stuffing up the first photo attempt we got to chat to them much longer (which I now realise might have been done on purpose).

    Good times.

One of the big reasons why I spent 2 hours on a train (27 stops) was to see the new Stella Artois Laws in action.

I didn't actually get to do that.

The Referee was of the opinion that over 2000 people went to North Sydney Oval to see if he could blow the pea out of his whistle. For the record, he was unsuccessful in his repeated attempts.

I was of the understanding that the whole purpose of these new laws was to allow for a much faster and free flowing game of Rugby, it seems that the Referee, which a high ranking Perth Spirit fan suggested was related a Senior Rugby Correspondent, never got that memo.

I like North Sydney Oval as a venue - its old world charm and facilities are perfect for this "grade" of competition, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If Subiaco was the size of North Sydney Oval it would be a much easier place to watch the Force in Action.

Took some pictures for you all to enjoy (when I remembered I have a camera)
I will be attending the next match, and will provide updates for that.

Goood work, Exile. Glad you went through the hardship of the train journey to hear the ref's whistle!

    The aftermath

Thanks to Frontrower and Evie for the updates.....

Back home now.....It was a funny day......we started off so well and if not for the Ref and his constant blowing spolied what could have been a great day.

To the players credit as Burgs reported they all stayed behind and chatted to the fans.

We met Lachlan Mackays Dad and there were a number of other parents there that I could see.

The boys are remaining in Sydney for the week to play up at Gosford next weekend.

I tried to post some pics to the gallery but it doesnt seem to be working
