    Best Match from Week 1

What do you think was the best quality match from the first week of the 2007 Rugby World Cup?

I reckon the Aussie performance was the best 80mins, and i highly rate the opening game by the Argies over France...To be honest i haven't watched any other games completely....

In terms of quality of play, I thought the first half of the ABs game and 2nd half of the Boks showed quality attacking phase balls (even though they were once sided).

I would have gone with the Japan Fiji game for the nail-biting stuff..but there were quite a few handling errors and aimless runs..so technically the game scored less (on my score sheet). I must, however, reiterate that it was quite an entertaining game.

Aiming at quality of the match as a spectacle rather than the quality of a single team playing performance folks
For me I found the Japan v Fiji match to be very evenly balanced and was great to watch them going at it.
Number two may be the first match however the performance of the Frogs was pretty disappointing, so couldn't vote it #1 though a great result.

Canada and Wales, at least the first 55 minutes when it looked like my Canadians would run away with it. My number two was England v USA. Didn't watch the Fiji v Japan so not considered.

Fiji and Japan for me too. Granted there were some mistakes but the execution was generally ok. It was the most exiting finish so far.

The Fijians, along with the Tongans and Samoans will be the big improvers should the ELV's be adopted in the future. The Argies, Canada, USA.........will have to make some major reajustments to their style.

Good time to be on night shift.
