    Name your WA Club

We had a great response last time to this Poll, with over fifty responses!
So, with the 2007 Season upon us, the question is asked again, which Club do you support?

This time I have listed all the A Grade Clubs as well to give you more alternatives.

If you have already posted your vote last year please do so again so we get a good snapshot of who the TWF Membership are cheering for.

If you are new to the State, or even the Sport, then I would encourage you to get on down to your local Club and get involved, even if only at a social level.

Rugby people are renowned as friendly welcoming types so get on down and get amongst it!

The Clubs websites are here to help you chase them up:

If you would like a better idea of where all the WA Clubs are located then have a look at the RugbyWA "Find a Club" page: www.westernforce.com.au/wa/wa.rugby/page/29743

Now also on the TWF's own Landmark Map! http://thewholeforce.com/vbgooglemaphse.php

So folks, there is now no excuses and no option for voting for "no Club"!
Show your support for your Club or get on board a new one to claim as your own.

Western Australian Rugby is riding a wave of public awareness like never before and all the Clubs need an increase of supporters to continue this exciting phase of the codes history.

    And for mine? GO SOAKS!!!

Yep agree with that, Neddies / Wests should be the one to watch, will be interetsing to see the new players.

We played Soaks in our last pre-season and beat them about 6 tries to 2. I dont think they were full strenght though, mind you we werent either.

A bit of further info from UNI............

ASHTON, HOLT, AND LENEGAN MAKE AUSTRALIAN UNIVERSITIES TEAM
A three way tournament between Sydney University (SU), University of Queensland (UQ) and a Melbourne University Barbarians (MUB) took place in Brisbane over the Easter long weekend.

The following members of the University of Western Australia Rugby Union Club were selected in the Melbourne University Barbarians team to play Sydney University and the University of Queensland in Brisbane over the Easter long weekend.

    Sean Ashton
    David Holt
    Ryan Lenegan
    Jerry Scott (Coach)

After playing for a win against the University of QLD 29-7, the Barbarians took on the powerful Sydney Uni team and lost 40-17. As a result of their excellent on field performances Ashton, Holt, and Lenegan were selected in the Australian Universities team that will play NZ Universities in Sydney in two weeks time. A tour to North America may also be on the cards for later in the year.

The club congratulates the players on this outstanding achievement.

pruc, i'd be careful in what you say. I dont think it was an easy decision for him and there were a lot of factors. He is a fantastic bloke (i know he still hangs out with a lot of the pally guys) , I'm sure Fulvio would back me up on that one. Certainly no traitor. Think before you speak.

    Have done thanks mate
I was sure one of them had changed from last year but couldn't find it

Also for those who were earlier looking for Cottesloe they were listed as Brumbies, just clicked on the wrong option in the drop down of previous enteries

Don't forget our Club Forums pages: http://thewholeforce.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35
If there is any interest we will be happy to start new ones for other Clubs.

Yep, Sean Ashton is a thoroughly nice bloke and had his reasons for leaving which in no way adversely reflected on Palmyra or its members. Life goes on, and all his friends at Pally wish him well and will be pleased to hear of his success in being selected in the Australian Universities squad.

In this day and age it is inevitable that players will change clubs as opportunities in rugby and in life change, nothing is static, and while one is entitled to be disappointed when it happens, one has to understand and accept it, keep the door open, and move on. Name calling changes nothing and is demeaning to all.

I know all about that Fulvio having left Paly myself for the northern suburbs and the roodogs, but i have a lot of good mates i met down there, and a few others all around the scene...Some of us have to move on, that's how it is Pruc, just realise it may happen to yourself one day...Before coming west i had only played for two clubs, The Riverina Army in wagga and Blakehurst in Sydney, since i have been here in WA i have played for three clubs...Wests, Palmyra and Wanneroo, all relative to where i lived in relation to training...And a great way to network and meet people...
